UCF recognizes that completing a college degree in a traditional classroom environment doesn’t work for everyone. If you are looking for flexibility and convenience, taking fully online and blended classes means you can work toward a degree from practically anywhere. We are here to help you overcome the challenges you may encounter along the way so you can focus on your education.
The following resources were created to help you succeed in your online courses. You will need to use your NID to log into the first two modules.
Knights Online: Overview of Online Courses
This module discusses the behaviors and habits that make a student successful in an online course. Students who are already registered for an online class might find this most relevant. There are five video testimonials from UCF online students answering questions like: How will I succeed? What can I expect? How important is communication in an online course? How often should I check my online course?
Knights Online: What Does an Online Course Look Like?
This module discusses the characteristics and features of the Webcourses@UCF online course management system. Meet five veteran faculty who introduce you to their online courses and share expectations common to many other online faculty. Students who haven’t taken online classes will find this is the perfect place to start.
Knights Online: Using Webcourses@UCF
Instructure Canvas is the new platform for UCF’s Webcourses@UCF. All academic classes will be taught in the new system beginning Spring 2013. Explore the new environment with this interactive demonstration of Canvas.
