Make Exercise A Priority
The following suggestions will help you make exercise a priority, even in
the busiest weeks and on the tightest budgets:
- Walk whenever possible.
- Walk or jog after a long study session.
- Choose the stairs rather than the elevator.
- Purchase exercise tapes for use at home.
- Do strenuous chores, if your doctor approves, such as raking leaves or
mowing the lawn.
- Play team recreational sports – perhaps at a local YMCA or club.
- Use home exercise equipment such as weights, a treadmill or stair machine,
or a mat.
- Jog or work out with a friend or family member to combine socializing
and exercise.
- Exercise is a key component of a healthy mind and body, as is adequate
rest.
