Make Exercise A Priority

exercising figuresThe following suggestions will help you make exercise a priority, even in the busiest weeks and on the tightest budgets:

  • Walk whenever possible.
  • Walk or jog after a long study session.
  • Choose the stairs rather than the elevator.
  • Purchase exercise tapes for use at home.
  • Do strenuous chores, if your doctor approves, such as raking leaves or mowing the lawn.
  • Play team recreational sports – perhaps at a local YMCA or club.
  • Use home exercise equipment such as weights, a treadmill or stair machine, or a mat.
  • Jog or work out with a friend or family member to combine socializing and exercise.
  • Exercise is a key component of a healthy mind and body, as is adequate rest.
